TAKOMA PARK CRAFTSMAN
In Takoma Park’s historic district, our clients were mindful of keeping their renovation project rooted in their values: They sought to create a warm and welcoming home that would foster creativity, and remain true to their relaxed family vibe. At the same time, they sought to elevate and organize the space in a way that maximized functionality, honored the home’s Craftsman architecture, and reflected their love of vintage Scandinavian design.
These intentions are evident in the command center just off the kitchen that feels integrated into the family’s daily routine and in the dining room that invites friends to gather with its warm wood tones, vintage Danish heirloom pieces, and nostalgic wallpaper. In the living room, we paired fresh green zellige tile around the fireplace with custom walnut bookshelves to house our clients' record collection. Across the room, a bright window seat provides book and toy storage for the kids, encouraging reading and play.
